Mansker has the record here as well:
Flying 200 m | Kevin Mansker | 11.06 | 2012
Nobody's broken 11 seconds at our track yet, though Mansker's getting close.

I'll post mine to set the bar low . Didn't make a race this season, but hopefully next season.
Current PR from a timed clinic: 13.7 puts me at a goal of a whopping 13.15

Any thoughts on doing this as a function of percentage over the track record? Someone with Alpenrose as their home track should be spotted an extra second .

Think of it this way- you have a bigger advantage if you travel to almost any track... My PR was ridden on wood, indoors, with front and rear Disc Wheels! I'm screwed!

27˚ on a 400 beats 23˚ on a 333 at Hellyer! The 400's in Jpn are around 31˚ which is perfect for that length.

Learning to ride low bank tracks builds good skills. I've watched plenty of guys float up to the red in turn 3/4 on moderate banked tracks..my time riding Encino has taught me to stay low- no matter what!

Current PR: 11.41
Goal: 11:2
Outdoor Concrete 333m.
That's actually pretty close to what time I am aiming for...

Agree that low banked tracks improves your skill. On a track with ideal banking the bike dos what you want, on inadequate banking, it doesn't. Nice banking, though, is more fun...

right now my current pb is so bad, that i'm caught between the embarrassment of actually publicizing it, and the possibility that because its so bad, and was set before I started training far more seriously I might have a shot at a reasonable improvement

Back to the 333 200 line for a minute:
When looking at 200 splits, on a 400 or 250 my 1st 100 is consistently a tiny bit quicker than the 2nd 100, which is how I'm told it should look. However, on my local 333, it flips around, prompting me to think the 1st 100 is too slow. This is what got me thinking about playing with the line. Anybody else experience something like this?
It seems to me logical that starting the drop at the mid-point of T1-T2 (instead of the traditional drop point, a beat past the exit of T2) would do two beneficial things: One, it gives you the acceleration of the drop beginning, what 30-40m? before the 200 start line instead of 5-10 m. That would seem to be a good thing. Two, it gets you in the lane quicker and this shortens the true distance you ride for '200' meters.
Thoughts? I'd love to hear from people who've experimented with this.

I think all of us have been here. There was a period when I could not get under 13 seconds that lasted waaaaaaaayy longer than I was comfortable with! No shame, I'd encourage you to post.

As you can tell by my numbers I am VERY MUCH not a sprinter, and also on the worst track in the country. PB 14.9 Goal Time: 14.17
