Interesting --- i read something about these once before and seems they were pretty spendy though

ok if you only need 1 or 2 pairs, - but i just buy 2 sizes big and have the waist taken in (The Polo company also seems to make a lot of "gentlemen's fit" or "executive fit" jeans and pants that work well for this ) --- but a moot point for me personally right now , weight issues now mean those 2 sizes too big jeans now fit all too well

Levi's 559. They fit my 26 inch thighs!

+1 for Kerin Cut, can't wait for these.

Although I'm still "small legged" by sprinter standards.

I saw these on a friend's facebook page:

$457,757 pledged of $15,000 goal
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...im-has-arrived

They raised half a million dollars. That's significant.

That being said, I bet Levis noticed and beats them to market. If Levis will make the "511 Commuter" line for skinny-legged cyclist, I'm pretty confident that they will make a line for big-legged athletes and gym rats which probably outnumber the cyclist 1,000x.

The Commuter ad:

As a man who has ripped a pair of jeans from my crotch to the knee (in a crowded airport, of all places) I look forward to seeing what comes of this.

...or

ZUBAS.

^^I have a pair of the Levi's Commuters in the 505 cut. I don't have "big" legs but I squat and deadlift regularly and can't really do skinny jeans or 511's.

The 501 shrink to fits are another option. They come a bit baggy, you put em in hot water, and wear em dry. So they'll shrink up appropriately. I always had trouble with pants being too baggy down low if they fit my thighs, the 501's did a little better than other cuts.

These have become my standard jean these days.
You can get them off Amazon in any length/waste combo in 1" increments, so you can dial in the fit. I do the soak in cold water, wear them dry and never wash them again.

Current favorite is is the Black (rigid STF)

I picked up a pair a while back and did hot water and wore them dry. Definitely a good fit, mine are about an inch too long but if I ordered the right size, they'd be awesome.

Ended up washing mine once after that to try to get them to shorten up but they didn't.

I used to wear 501s (mostly non-STF) in one size up from my normal pants size. I also loved buying 501 STF (shrink-to-fit) rigid and never washing them. The heavy, rigid cloth was a nice feeling.

Now those old 501s are way too tight. I think either my legs or butt got bigger over the last year or so. I wear 559 now.

This weekend I wore some of my old 501s and immediately become the "too-tight pants guy" at the cafe :D

$75 jeans with a $200 hipster tax added.

Rapha makes high quality stuff...and is known for its hipter tax.

How about a $115 nylon belt $15 belt with a $100 hipster tax.

Or a $65 Cup and Saucer. A SINGLE cup and saucer set, not a set of 4 cups and saucers. Apparently this cup and saucer set are so unique that they need 3 paragraphs to describe it.

Good stuff. Priced for those who have more money than sense :D

(No offense to Rapha fans intended)

hey now- that's for a set of two!
so, basically, do you feel any differently at double quantity for the same money? :p

Says the guy who's gone through how many carbon track bicycles? ;)

Seriously, though, Rapha stuff is expensive, but it ain't all that bad. The prices people will pay for clothes. Wow.
That said, I've used one of those Rapha espresso cups. They are pretty sweet.
