The setup on track, for some racers, is different from the road. For example, in a points race, you may want to sit up and breathe after a sprint. So, the setup on a track bike is higher with the endurance bars and you bend your elbows to go low. And I am sure that many will have an opinion on this. We are all different and over time each racer figures out what works for them.
