more questions about trainers and tires

I recently bought a Cyclops fluid 2, which I really like, and would like more if my rear tire were to spin against the cylinder evenly. If I leave about an inch of space between the cylinder and tire and turn the rear wheel I can see how in some places the tire is an inch from the cylinder and in other places it is Ĺ an inch away. Has anyone else had this problem? And more so, has anyone come up with any solutions?

Iíve had the wheel trued, so thatís not the problem. Itís annoying riding like this b/c the resistance as I peddle isnít even.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

If your wheel is true and round, then your tire must be out of round. Only one way to fix that problem. Get a different tire.

I have a Fluid 2 also. Bought it last fall. Unfortunately, I found a small fluid leak a couple of days ago. I thought they had fixed the problem with their fluid trainers leaking but I guess not. Next time I'll probably go with a Kurt Kenetic.

I agree, sounds like your tire may be out of round. I have no problem with my training wheelset on the trainer, even presure on the trainer all around.
