my gut
I've been riding my bike pretty steady now for about a year and have felt the physical benefits. But i still have a bit of a gut that i am pretty sure cycling isn't going to get rid of. So how do you guys do it?

If you're talking about spot reduction, there's no such thing. You lose fat by eating less than you burn. You lose it in a genetically-predetermined pattern.

How much do you ride now?
I suspect you just need to ride MORE. Also add in: walking and weightlifting.

I had a similar problem. After riding for a few years, I was feeling great, had lost some weight, but got to a point where that last couple of pounds/inches wouldn't go away. After a bit I figured I had come to a threshold that needed to be broken, so I bit the bullet and started doing ugly climbs two times a week. Flabbies melted away in a few weeks.

Read "Eat to Live" by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. Try his eating plan for 6 weeks. Gut will melt away. I promise.
