Gatorade Energy Chews, any other suggestions?

Looking for something to help fuel longer rides. Something that isn't too difficult to eat while pedaling. Any suggestions?

I have seen the Gatorade energy chews, does anyone have experience with those?

Is there anything else someone would recommend?

I have never tried the Gatorade energy chews, but I assume they're much like Clif Shot Blocks, which are like cubic gummis. They work great.

Other things that work great:

Bananas
Power Gels
Honey Stinger Waffles
Jelly Belly Sport Beans
Trail mix
Paydays
Oreos
Peanuts
Nutella on a tortilla
PBJ

Basically anything you can fit in a jersey pocket and tastes good. Find out what works for you.

Clif bars are easy to chew and digest, providing 250 Calories and 44g of carbs. Blueberry Crisp and Berry Pomegranate Chia are decent and don't add to thirst like Peanut Butter Crunch.

Clif Shot Bloks and Hammer Gel in the Hammer flask are real popular around here.

Larabars and kind bars. Bananas or apples. Peanuts (or almonds, walnuts, etc) are also good for me. Looking for carbs, protein, or both?

Oatmeal Raisin Walnut is my favorite of the regular flavors.
But man, I'd kill to get my hands on some of those limited edition "Panforte" flavor they sold a couple years ago!
Those were to die for!

I find chews like the Gatorade and Clif Blox are kind of inconvenient as they're difficult to get out of the packaging while riding and tend to stick to my teeth making chewing problematic. Bananas, fig newtons, gels, energy bars, etc work well for me.

Don't they kind of make a mess of your jersey pocket, gloves, fingers? I don't like getting sticky if I can avoid it.

I keep a few in an unzipped baggy. They're pretty dry so not really sticky on the hands.

The "snack pack" packaged Nabisco Fig Newtons are 200 Calories per package, and far easier/quicker to eat (barely need to chew before rinsing down) than the blueberry Clif bars I also like but dread trying to take bites of and chew when they're cold.

And for whatever reason, at Walmart the boxes of individually wrapped snack packs are cheaper than buying a bag of the cookies by weight.

When I used to eat these on rides, I'd take several out of the package, lick one side of them and then stick them to my stem/bars and eat as necessary. Did this trick mostly when I was doing longer climbs.

I use a scissors to cut off one end before the ride and then I can squeeze them out.

I use dried fruit in a snack bag. I ride mtb rather than a road bike. The nutritional needs are not very different. The convenience of reaching back and getting a bite is pretty nice.
I think that just about any nutritional supplement beats nothing when you're running on empty.
