I am new at Biking and I have just started to Diet. I want to loose 20 to 25 lb. I am going to have a down week of no exersise at all due to work and school. I need some advice on what to eat without gaining. I thought about eating 90 to 95% raw veggies for all meals. I love raw veggies but have been afraid to do it due to the "carb" issues. What will happen if I do this and use a good Protien shake once a day?? Will I cause weakness or will I find that it will be something that I would want to continue**********

I think you need to see a professional dietician.

They'll advise you specifically on your goals re weight loss/training loads/recovery etc ....the e-rubbish you see on here is likely to be counterproductive.

95% vegetables is just stupid. You need to eat maintenane calories. Otherwise your matabolism/leptin levels will fall, and you'll find yourself having more trouble losing fat when you get back on the bike.
