We have a relatively cheap (but stylish) digital scale. The damned thing WILL NOT be consistent! It ranges wildly depending on if it's in the bathroom or kitchen, and which square of the floor its on. The floors are as flat as any floors, thre shouldn't be a 10lb change from day to day. This morning I weighed myself after getting up, and then again a few minutes later just to double check. I had already gained 3lbs from doing absolutely nothing!

We tried getting another scale, but found it had a similar reading to ours on the one day we tried it so we returned it. The problem with the dial scales is you keep having to fiddle with the knob to get the line exactly on 0.

Does anyone have a really good quality and most of all CONSISTENT scale they could recommend that won't break the bank?

I bought one of these in the fall of 2003. Works ok for me.

Tanita - I've used one of their mid-range body fat scales for 4 years now. It's accurate to 0.2 lbs, and highly repeatable without the issue of the scale "faking it".

Ask your local drug dealer what brand he uses. If they're moving any real weight they'll know :p

I have an tanita from a few years back and it works well.. They have new models that have a lot of bells and whistles.. They are not much more expensive than the standard models..
