Quick! Pre-Ride Nutrition!

A quick question, I'm going out for a ~35 mile ride in about an hour, and I was wondering what would be a better choice pre-ride. I was planning on having 1/2 cup steel cut oats, but remembered the case of powerbars I have sitting on my basement shelf. The oats are around 300 with 50g carbs (all complex) and 10 g protein, and the powerbars are around 250 calories with about 45g (complex & simple) carbs and 10g protein (casein, whey).

Which would be a better choice? Help me out here.

Go for the oats. Real food over bars whenever you can, and save the bars for those on-the-bike meals when you're far from home....
