    Meal Plan

Ok I'm going to try planning some meals and if you guys are up to it then let me know what you think of the. Also maybe some alternatives.

    Day 1:
Breakfast - Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Water, and Multi-vitamin
Lunch - Soy Burger w/cheese, buffalo chips (basically french fries), and water
Dinner - Pasta with spagetti sauce, 2 slices bread, and water.

This is what I am planning for tommorrow (lunch is at a resturant with a professor so alternatives are a bit harder to come by...breakfast and lunch are good though). I figure I can do this daily and after a few days I should have a good pool of suggestions from you guys to build a solid shopping and eating regimen.

Or if you think the idea is lame then just let me know ...all opinions are accepted.

I like the pb and j, just make sure your bread is whole grain. How about a snack in the
morning, like Baked Triscuits with some hummus? Lunch, are you a vegetarian?
I like the soy burger but I'd skip the cheese. and no chips. Add some fruit and some greens like spinach or arugula. I'd have an afternoon snack. Like a protein shake made with a protein powder like Trader Joe's, and either skim milk or unsweetened soy
milk. Dinner is okay but you need some more protein and more veggies. How about
some soy sausage with your pasta, skip the bread and add more veggies.
What is your goal? Weight lost?

Ya make sure your bread is whole grain, have some more 'complex' carbs not simple sugars. try to also snack throughout the day with healthy snacks (better for metabolism), such as trail mix, nuts, almonds, ect. carbs are good, but dont only eat just them. also stay variety and even take a look at the famous food pyramid. make sure get good fruits and vegies, but not high in natural sugars. get some multivitamins, and like Marge said, soy and protien. il be back when i think of some more.
ps: for drinks and sort, im not sure if u know or whats ur opinion but read nutrition facts and try watering down some drinks that are high in sugars such as gatorade or crangrapes ect.

I generally like drinking water...weight loss is definately the goal.

Is wheat bread a 'whole bread'? Thats pretty much what I eat.

I'll throw some snacks in there too...will probabally make eating less easier.

it depends. Look on the nutritional panel on the the bread. If anywhere on there it has the words "unbleached" or "(un)enriched" flour, then it is not whole grain.

Ok so I didn't end up eating lunch...so I had a serving and a half at dinner of pasta and pasta sauce. I got rid of the bread and I had corn with the pasta.

    Now working on tommorrows plan
