My MS 150 ended as the MS 120

First of all I posted this in training because I would like to thank all of those who gave me encouragement, support, and ideas in my quest to go from couch potato to MS 150 finisher. I participated in the Kansas City MS 150 that went from Lee's Summit to Sedalia Missouri and back. The route was 85 + hilly miles both ways. I made the entire first day my only time off the bike other than rest stops was when I walked halfway up a moster hill midway through the ride. When finished my computer read 88 miles. On the second day I knew that I could not repeat the full route back so I took it easy and made it as far as I could. I made thirty or so and then took the sag back in. In retrospect I did not train enough hills, but I did beat the 50 mile + mental barrier that I was encountering in my training. I am still heavy but in much better shape that I was 3 months ago and next year I will make the full ride. Thanks all.

Great job, Mudu! You may not have done the full 150, but it gives you another excuse to do it again next year. Last year I rode an MS100 in one day, and I know how difficult it is to train for those long rides. You have to make time to ride long every week until the "big event."
