More Food Ideas!

I know we do this thread every week or two, but I wanted to bring a new one to life.

I do the 5 small meals a day approach. Since I have added some weight training into my routine, I have been wanting to increase my protein levels. The problem is this comes at the same time as a schedule shift. I am now away from home for the whole day (at school not work, so no fridge) so have the added challenge of carrying food in a bag thats already full of books, and can last out of the fridge.

So ... I need protein snack ideas, that are easy for on-the-go. I am a cottage cheese fanatic, but I dont like it when its been out of the fridge for longer than an hour. String cheese and jerky is good. Nuts arent a good option because the serving size is way too small. I am a very small girl (which equals less calories per day for maintence) but I have a very large appetite. So I tend to avoid calorie dense food.

Anyone have any good ideas for easy, travelable, low calorie, high protein snacks? (is that asking too much )

Hard boiled eggs (I have never noticed a problem with keeping them unrefridgerated all day), soynuts, whole grain muffins with nuts or seeds

only get the Albacore Tuna or White Chunk. The light stuff doesn't taste good IMO.

Check out some vegetarian or vegan websites. I've found a lot of good stuff on those. Just don't tell them I eat meat, OK?
