I was comparing the Apple Cider (i'm addicted to it) my wife gets at the farmer's market to several other energy/recovery drinks and foods and I'm curious how it compares with other energy/recovery drinks/foods. Am I missing something or is this really a pretty amazing beverage?!? With most other "energy" products, it seems much more of their carb calories come from fat and there are quite a few carbs here , especially considering 8 oz is tiny. A normal glass full is more like 12-14 oz.

Ever had apple cider heated up in a crock pot with a couple sticks of cinnamon? Great in the winter time.
1 gallon of apple cider
Put it in a crock pot.
Add 3 cinnamon sticks, about a tsp of whole cloves, and about 3 or 4 whole allspice. Slice up an orange and put orange rings in there. Put it on low and let it simmer all day. It's easier if you can put the spices in cheese cloth but I don't always have that. Also, taste it after about 4 or 5 hours to make sure it's not getting too strong. Remove the spices and oranges when the flavor reaches the taste you prefer.
Have fun!
