Any Good

I was talking with a friend at work, complaining about the cold weather and how I needed to get some more cold weather gear. She offered me her ex-husbands rollers.

I went and got them Friday. They are Kreitler rollers. They came with a fork stand and a "Killer headwind" attachment.

Anyone have any experience with these? Are they any good?

Here is a picture of what they look like (not MY picture, but it looks the same).

No. They suck. Send 'em my way.

Dood, you made out like a bandit. Get on your knees and know that God answered your prayers.

Very cool... If I could only convince her to get back at her ex by selling me his Harley for $1, THAT would be the deal of the century!

Thanks for the info on the rollers.

If she hates the man enough (which I suspect she does, since she handed you nearly a thousand dollars worth of free equipment), then you might just get your hands on that Harley. Give her that movie called "The First Wives Club". That scene where Goldie gives her husband the 4 quarters she got from the sale of his ferrari was priceless. I had to laugh.

So, if she gives me his Bianchi, you don't want it?

Tell you what, if my lovely wife ever sent me packing, my cycling gear would be the FIRST thing in the car. Maybe this guy doesn't love his cycling gear like a good bike-nut should! Heck, it's my DUTY to give the rollers a good home where they will be loved, eh?

Funny you should mention a Bianchi... my last GF wasted one in the split. She cryed about how ugly the green was when I got it then sold it for next to nothing after we were done to some new guy.

If you actually use the rollers then I guess it's ok. As long as a real bike nut ended up with them.

I could use a HID light too

some people have all the luck... I just bought a set of rollers sight unseen but I'm guessing they wont be Kreitlers... if they are it'll be the best $20 I ever spent... have to wait a few days to see what I got though...

enjoy 'em

Don't bother with lottery tickets. You've already used up your good luck.
