2006 mileage chart
sorry to jump the gun by two weeks, but rather now than too late...
i have a 2005 excel spreadsheet that does all the tabulating and such for me, and I went back to the website i got it from last year, and they're using a PDF this year instead... which means I have to do the adding.
i'm way too non-mathematical for that.
does anyone know where there's a 2006 mileage chart in .xls or the equivalent?

I made this spreadsheet just now, for the first 6 months of '06.
Does is work sorta like your old one? Wanna suggest any changes/additions?

I created my own Excel spreadsheet for my miles and other information. Once you create it with all the forumlas and everything you need, you don't have to do any more adding etc. ... the program does it all for you.
But I also use bike journal: https://www.bikejournal.com/

It's not free, but I like CycliStats...however, as the developer of it, I'm 100% biased .
It does much more than a spreadsheet (including tracking of maintenance, health, goals, cycling specific tools, etc.), is easier to use, and comes with a bunch of built-in reports and graphs.
If you're interested, you can download a free 30-day trial version from the website to see if it meets your needs.

Hey thanks for the spreadsheet! I noted that it is locked. I would like to add some health stats to the sheet - weight, BP, RHR. Could you PM me the unlock code? Thanks.

I have stuff in Excel and Access. My Access system is new for 06 and does a lot more than my old .xls, as far as reports on mileage, etc.

1) You'll definitely need to modify your "Rides" table, to permit non-integer ride distance (your "Mileage" column). As it currently exists, you can't enter something like "21.4" miles...only "21" or "22".
2) You need a ride time field. Currently, "Elapsed Time" is defined as a 50 character text field...this means it won't be possible to produce summaries for riding time, or calculate average speed.
3) It would be useful to allow ride entries to include a Bike, so that one can view summaries by bike (i.e., road vs. mountain bike).
4) Notes - the notes fields are far too short (for instance, the 100 character limit for "Noteworthy News").
Sorry if I sound overly critical, but I'm a professional software developer and database analyst. Best of luck with your project...it's always better to use something you love as a learning exercise (but don't be surprised to find that it takes a LOT of time to get it right ).

The Potomac Pedalers chart is now available:
https://www.pankin.com/miles.htm
Honestly, though, I'm sticking with WulfHeir's. I'm sick of the week starting on Monday in the PPTC one - I like my mileage weeks to start on Sunday.
