tendon pain.
For the past month (give or take a week) I've been
having the following occur during my normal lunch rides.
the tendons from Hamstrings to knee (anterior aspect) are
becoming sore (almost fatigued like lactic acid buildup). The
rides are the same, the intensity is about the same as all summer
and fall (maybe a bit less intense due to winter slowdown).
I haven't got a clue as to what is causing it, nor how
to correct it.
Any ideas?
thanks,
Marty

New shoes?
Pedals?
Cleats?
Saddle?
Bike?
Adjusted your saddle fore/aft level or height?
I used to get something similar at the start of each track season....I just put it down to the different forces racing track and my slightly different position. Went away in a couple of weeks.

well thats the question, isn't it?
no nothing has changed (saddle, cleats, seat position etc.) the
only thing different is its considerably colder ( 8 or 9 celcius now vs
28 to 35 celcius during summer).

could definitely be the weather. Training and racing in the cold here I used to seize up like an old pair of garden shears. Especially if you have to do a sustained, hard effort.
My advice? Slather on the embrocation and find some decent winter leggies. A good stretch every hour or so as well, as well as after your ride. If it hangs around, I'd see a professional.
