using a trainer
I've been using my new trainer for a few days now, and I've noticed that it is really eating the rubber off my tire. I don't have the roller part that tight against tire, just enough so it doesn't slip. Is this normal? Also, this is on a new bike with the original tires, maybe just getting worn in? I've never seen this before. It comes off in little tiny balls and sticks to the frame of my bike, at first I thought it was grease.

I use a cheap, crappy tire and set the distance carefully. No rubber shavings. With over 300 miles on the trainer so far this season, the tire is a little shiny but not worn noticeably at all.
