Polar CS 200cad

Has anyone had any experience with this computer and HRM? Good, bad, indifferent?

I bought a CS200cad last September, but if I had know that the speed and cadence transmitter batteries were NOT replaceable, I would have bought something else. I've already sent it in for warranty service for a bad transmitter. Nontheless, the receiver seems to be sensitive to local RF interference as the speed still occasionally shows "0", particularly when my speed drops below 8mph (i.e. extended climb).

The HRM and cadence have not been a problem, and work fine.

I bought one that didn't work at all, right out of the box. Try turning it on and everything on the screen displayed at once. I had no luck trying to get it to work, so I exchanged it for a new one. I installed the new one, and no matter what I did the cadence always stayed at zero. It never gave me a cadence reading of anything other than zero, no matter how close I put the receiver to the transmitter. I returned that one also and went back to my wired cycling computer and wristwatch HRM.

Do a search on the CS200, and you'll find quite a few people that got defective ones. Yes, there are plenty of people who like the CS200 and have had good luck with it, but the number of defective units seems to far outweigh the number of, say, defective wireless Cateyes.

I purchased my CS 200cad in December. Setup, while not easy, didn't take long. I have had no problems with either the heart rate monitor or the cadence sensor. They both work very well. Occasionally, I do recieve some interference, which sends my HR reading to 212.
