Cycling and Muscles

Hi!

I'm new to cycling and I was wondering what effects cycling has on your body. I have pretty muscular legs already and I'd really like to tone/lean them, not bulk them up. How cycling affects your body in particular would interest me. Thanks a bunch!

The pedaling forces in cycling are not high enough to produce hypertrophy of leg muscle.

Because of this, cyclists have strong, lean leg muscles.

If you want bulk, you need a different activity than cycling.
