What's the hardest effort can you sustain over 30-45 minutes without blowing up?

That'll be your answer.

I thought that intervals of approx. 5 to 7 minutes were better for time trial training with the once a week time trial simulation????

I do anywhere from 2 to 8 minute intervals at a heart rate (or wattage) above my LT. I've been training for 40k's.
