Polar Frustration

sorry if i missed a thread on this topic, if i did, post the link.

has anyone ever managed to transfer info from the polar uplink tool to their wrist unit? I've tried about three sets of speakers and haven't been able to transfer the settings. i'm about to give up.

I have the polar F6 and the kind folks from polar emailed me the uplink tool after I told them what i was working with so I know i have the right version for my wrist unit. any ideas??

I have done it with an S720i and a laptop speaker. But it was just an experiment as I normally use the IR interface.

Thanks supcom-- were they just the regular speakers inside of your laptop or external ones?

Just ordinary built-in laptop speakers.

hold the unit a few inches away from the speaker. You can also try headphones. make sure the watch is displaying the settings option when doing this.

No problems with the uplink tool- just make sure the volume is up loud enough and the unit close enough.
