Weight loss?
I'm a 55 y/o avid cyclist. My height is 172 cm, weight 70 kg. Although my weight was OK, I'm trying to reduce my (small) 'spare tube' and lost 3kg, I'm at 67 kg right now. But I seem to be slower. Could this be related to weight loss?

yes....to lose weight you are using more calories than you are consuming. Thus the muscles are not fully stocked up on glycogen. In addition, 3kg is not a small amount of weight to lose. Depending on how rapidly you lost that weight, you may have lost some muscle mass in addition to fat.
But still, good job with the weight loss.

Odds are you did lose some muscle, but when you get a good calorie balance to maintain you should speed up.

post a couple weeks of your training-schedule will ya? Could also be overtraining without sufficient recovery time. If you're doing teh same rides twice in one week, your schedule is probably not optimum; you've left out an important type of ride somewhere if you've repeated the same ride twice.
