Interesting, I thought I got my calves from cycling, I guess it is from walking the plantations - and perhaps posting on horses.

Yeah, my calves are tiny and stretched over disproportionately large tibiae.
It's less weight your thighs are lifting and catch less air than bigger calves.
If you look at average thigh and calf sizes for elite road cyclists, you'll be surprised by how small they actually are. Earl Campbell, a full back from long ago, had 32" thighs. Elite American road cyclists have thighs around 53cm. That's about 20.8 inches and most likely, artificially inflated by steroids. Hulk Hogan's bicep is 24 inches.

My thighs are only about 52 cm/20.5", and my calves are 39 cm/15.4". But there's not much fat down there on my body. I'm currently 179 cm/5'10.5" and 66 kg/145 lbs. My bone structure is very thin, though, especially in my upper body. My wrists are only about 15 cm/6" around, and my ankles are 21 cm/8".

Hello guys, Good to find this little corner of the internet. I've lived most of my life with tiny calves. I've tried everything. Step ups, weights, and shaping, but nothing seems to really take hold. I've been considering looks at alternatives. Anyone considered implants? I've got a pair of padded socks I wear under my pants and those seem to give a positive effect, but when I take those off, I feel like a cheat. Implants however, that would give me Affleck calves. His calves in Batman are off the chain!!!!!

The standard BB forum response is 3 sets of 12 standing calf raises on a Smith machine, twice a week, toes on a block, full range of motion, once a week do the last set to failure at 12 or a couple less. Failure is not being able to raise the heels above horizontal. I've seen a guy do this with 1000 lbs. Those are big calves. I asked the guy if that much weight was necessary. "Got to stimulate 'em." That's a watch-phrase of mine now.
