Riding on a treadmill

Has anyone ever done this? I don tplan on it, but I was just thinking about it... its like "easy rollers". Granted most treadmills only go to like 12mph, but you could put it way up on an incline and crank it out.

On a standard treadmill wouldn't the wheels move on the bike even if you didn't pedal? Also, max speed on most treadmills is around 12 mph or so.

There's a super wide treadmill at the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center which speed skaters and XC skiers use. There are two in the nation, the other is in SLC Utah.

You couldn't use a regular treadmill and a bike. Pedalling would still push you forward off the belt, even though its spinning.

Chris Boardman used one for a while when he thought he was a TDF GC contender.
