Protein fix in a hidden stash at the office

Does anyone, who gets protein urges like I do (like NOW!), have any suggestions or ideas for stashing protein at the office? My preference is beef, but they frown on me lighting a bbq in here.

Love jerky, flossing nightmare - thanks for the ideas though.

I just thought of natural peanut butter.

I bring in protein powder and mix with OJ for a quick drink. Trail mix, cottage cheese...I have found these protein chips but the flavor was only okay...

Peanut protein is a low quality protein (poor amino acid profile) and peanuts are mostly fat anyways.

You have many choices: cottage cheese, whey protein, canned tuna or salmon, pickled herring, hard boiled eggs, jerky (you can get softer varieties), etc.

I like walnuts and almonds. I believe they are in the "superfood" catagory.

walnuts and almonds are great snacks but you would have to consume a lot of fat in order to get and substantial protein.

Lox is good protein. Buy them in the smaller packages and eat them one package at a time. Yummy!

I'm partial to wasabi mustard myself, but i often just eat it (rinsed) straight from the can. I know, it's not for everyone, but for the amount of protein you get for the cost/calories it's hard to beat.

I can eat it plain, but lemon juice and coarse black pepper, or miracle whip and green onion are nice additives.

I have a bunch of high protein breakfast shakes. I don't know how much nutritional value they have, but I got em cheap and they're pretty good.

Keep some Whey powder in a baggie and you can snort it off your desk with the barrel of a Bic pen.

jokes aside..

one of the best snacks I used to keep in my desk that was high in protein....

One small can of Tuna with the flip-tab top
one packet of mayo
and a small box of raisins

drain the tuna and mix it all together and eat it by itself or on some crackers. I seem to recall that I mixed it up in the can. It's not something you can do at your desk though, since it smells like tuna. But just go somewhere else and if anyone complains, just mention it's one of your five smoking breaks all the smokers take except you decided to smoke some fish. However, if you are a smoker already and take smoking breaks already, then quit.

Basically, I would get a three pack of those small tuna cans, and a pack of the small boxes of raisins and "find" those mayo packets just about anywhere.

Co-workers. I just venture out by the ash urns and have one fresh smoked. Organic, too.

I make a burrito out of it. Trader Joes Pita bread, Dijorn mustard, low fat sour cream, some salsa, and some hot sauce. Delicious!

Guy at work only got 6 years in Medium Security state lock-up. Had a lot more coke, too.

I keep these in my desk drawer:

https://www.starkist.com/template.asp.../lunchtogo.asp

Tuna, low fat mayo, pickle relish, crackers and a hard candy. Works great for a mid-morning/afternoon snack. The local Sam's Club has these in a 5 pack for $6 or $7 bucks.

Kind of expensive, but, oh, such a treat! There's nothing better than finding jerky in your desk, especially when you forgot about it.
