How much salt (min) do you actually need?

So how much salt, in percent or mg, do you actually need for your body? That 100%/5,200ish mg thing is a maximum I believe.

I ask because I really dislike salt. So if I don't sweat too much, how much do I need minimum? I suppose it varies a bit, but...

Thanks.

I have to roll my eyes at myself -- I tried to search for this using Google for quite a while. The second I ventured to the Wikipedia page on salt, I found my answer.

Well, you need enough salt to maintain a reasonable amount in your bloodstream. If you drink a fair bit of water and eliminate it quickly, you have enough salt in your system. If you gain weight and keep it for a few hours, then you are probably low on salt.

Thanks Kuan and especially Ericgu.

And Zumba, yeah, I don't really eat any salty foods. Actually, I drink milk. That's the largest salt intake of my day. >_> 8% per cup serving I believe.
