Anyone have personal recipes for milk alternatives?

I bought a lot of rolled oats, oat grouts, and quinoa. I tried to powderize the rolled oats and quinoa, and mix the poweder with water, stir, add stevia and vanilla, and run it through a cheesecloth, and though it didn't taste as I thought it would, would any of you have personal favorite recipes?

Ditto. I just use the unsweetened kind. All the flavored varieties are too sweet.

I just pick rice milk or soy milk up in the store.

When I was in Australia there was a brand I found which I really liked. I practically lived on it there, but I can't remember what brand it was, and couldn't find it when I returned to Canada.

But my point is that you might have to try a few brands before you find one you like. Either that or you might have to make a trip to Australia.

My only problem with fake milks is that they remind me too much of real milk, and I find the very thought of real milk, never mind the taste, to be disgusting.

Haha, yeah true. I've been dairy-milk free since June 2nd, and now I couldn't even drink it if I had to.

Are you completely dairy free, no cheese or yogurt etc, or just milk ?

Strictly no milk, no yougurt (I take probiotics anyways), and occasional cheese.

I would boil the Quinoa, simmer it covered, then after a while take out and add maple syrup to it, tastes great. Lots of protein and the maple syrup is like the stuff in energy gels.

Would that be an after or before exercise meal?

For the first time I saw the following in the grocery store tonight. I'll have to try it next time. Has a good nutritional profile, but expensive. Have to try it to see how well it froths for espresso's

What is the problem with real (cow, goat) milk?

When I was a kid, we had to have at least 1/2 liter a day.
