protein on the go

I know chicken, fish and beans have a lot of protein but I need something for on the go. What are some good sources of proteins that are low in carbs and that allow you to carry them easily. I know I could get protein bars but at $2 a pop thats $60 a month on bars!

I like those tuna lemon and pepper fillets that come in a foil pouch. Then I slurp the oil, yum yum. I try and do the carb thing on longer rides, but it just makes me feel crappy. Protein fixes me right up.
