All the detail aside, do what you enjoy, and can sustain. Trick yourself as necessary (Olympics are always good). Depending on your budget, buy lots of shoes, training aids, magazines and whatever else motivates you. If you drink beer, try to stop. If you can't stop, buy smaller amounts of really expensive beer. If you drink wine, don't stop.
Cut back on bread-type stuff.
Wear sunblock. When you are outside. It's a big waste on the treadmill.
Keep posting your goals on websites that you frequent. If you slack off, it will make you feel stupid, and prompt you to continue to work.
