Rrrr back on Soda

So when I was younger I used to drink tons of soda. Then one day I decided to just stop (about the time I got serious about cycling). So that worked out quite nicely. Now I started to drink diet, cafeine free pepsi and can't seem to quit it.

Yah, I drink a diet caffeine-free beverage too... it's called water Just kidding, I feel your pain. I have been addicted to Pepsi for the last 16 years. I was drinking at least three cans a day, usually more like 5 or 6 a day. I pretty much went cold turkey in May of this year. So far I'm doing well. No more headaches. I do "treat" myself to one every two weeks or so. My fear is that I will start back one day and will gain back the 14 pounds I have worked so hard to lose.

FWIW, I tried the diet stuff for a couple of days and then realized that it was pointless to drink that when water is so much healthier.

I'll have one Diet Dr Pepper or Coke Zero a day.

Any thing in moderation is ok for you, at least that is what I think.

i dont care i will drink regular root beer forever i refuse to take diet, but im also very fit and i plan to stay as fit as possibly during my life. Also wont give up orange cream soda either. I like soda too much, but i do dirnk it in moderation specially a month before a race or tourny.
