Some other things I like on long rides ...
1) Mashed potatoes
3) Beef jerky
4) Orange juice
5) Fruit of all sorts (canned, fresh, and dried)
7) Chicken noodle soup
8) Potato chips
9) Granola & Cereal bars
10) Salted almonds
Note the variety of sweet items and salty items. I will usually start my long rides with foods on the sweeter side (muffins, cookies, etc.), and somewhere in the middle of the ride, I start craving salty stuff and fruit.
And two more suggestions:
1) Ask the riders what they want. Different long distance riders like different foods.
2) Find out if any of the riders have food allergies.
