I was looking for something more than my anatomy and physiology text book gives me. Something that showed all the muscles involved in many different excersizes/activities. Something that might show not only what muscles were targeted but other muscles used in each excersize/activity.

If you know of any equally informative websites it would also be appreciated.

Oh yes- try Marieb. Marieb is the book of choice for most college biology classes.

You can also get "The Anatomy Coloring Book" and "The Physiology Coloring Book" by Wynn Kapit.

The best book out there for explaining movement and anatomy by far is a book used by the Pilates folks called "The Anatomy of Movement" by Germain and Calais-Germain. You can also find "The Anatomy of Movement: Exercises" by Germain and Anderson. Get both the books, and you could be set.

Those are great ones. They both helped me work through Grays Anatomy a number of years ago.

I never got around to The Anatomy of Movement: Exercises as I started to fall out of the scene a bit more and didn't have the time. Kind of wish I had though. The excerpts and bits I have read are excellent.

Gets Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'The New Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding'. Lots of fun to look at all the pictures plus there are detailed exercises for every body grouping and muscles.

Marieb is my A&P text book and lab book and they are great books.

I will look for the Anatomy of Movement book but in the meantime the website from RWTD is great.

And I will also look for Arnie's book.
