Lip Spasms

I was doing a practice crit the other day, a very hard one at that (I'm a 4 and there were 1's and 2's up front driving the peloton). I was fatigued due to a 2-hour warm up with the team. We did the long warmup since it was, after all, just a training crit. I had also ridden a decent 50 mi tempo ride the day before. No doubt, I was fatigued.

At any rate, in the latter half of the race my upper lip was spasming. It hasn't happened since. What causes spasms in unrelated parts of the body?

Perhaps you are unconciously tensing your upper lip when you ride?

And it is tired the next day, like you are?

Maybe you had "Hound Dog" or "Burning Love" going through your head.

Maybe I should change my name to 'Mad Dog'. No, it was not tired.

I have two kinds of spasms the ones i want and the ones i don't.
My eye twitches sometimes but it starts off as me "wanting" to twitch it, like wanting to bite my nails, then i twitch it and it feels better.
The other kind's like parts of my neck and right hand, sometimes i feel this huge vein just bulging in and out out of my control, I think that's just an involuntary muscle spasm, I hope...

Might as well start imitating elvis now while you have the "gift" heh
