Training Peaks for a beginner
Hi I just signed up for on the Training peaks site for a month membership
I did the initial training consult and picked my A priority races and came up with a program.
my only question so far is on the program it didn't not ask for years of experience and in Friel's Heart Rate Training book he says you should not concentrate on the advanced abilities until at least 1 or 2 years of racing under your belt.
So should I just ignore the advanced abilities in the build phases for this year and concentrate on the basic ones ??
if it makes a difference I'll be racing mountain bikes and my strongest asset is Force, my endurance and Speed skills are not up to par yet

I would have thought any training program should bare in mind where you are starting from in terms of fitness and experience.
