I've taken a very small amount for quite a while (several years) with an occasional short break. I can't say that I've seen any + or - effects but I keep taking it anyway.

I'm old. DHEA production drops something ridiculous like 80% when you get old.
As far as riding goes.. I am thinking about building an ark. My old rain pants are leaking, which reminds me, I wanted to get some Seam Seal. I have an even older pair of hiking rain pants that I am going to try Wed. My current schedule is
ride Sat,Sun off,Mon legs/back at the gym Tues off. Wed/Thu is ride one day and gym (arms) on the other. Fri is off.
I have been killing myself on Saturdays, that's why Sun is off. A day off after the leg workout is something my old bod needs.
Yes. I have a long way to go.
I didn't design this, it's just raining all the time, so 2 or 3 days a week, I hit the gym. Did I mention it's been below normal temps?
Btw, I am talking a DHEA at lunch on the days I have a hard workout. Too early to come to any sort of conclusion.

late, you need a set of rollers! Best money you'll ever spend, guaranteed. Ride them for say, an hour, before you go to the gym. Or ride outside before the gym if it's not raining. Ride to the gym? Ride rollers every day. Every day, even if it's only 30 minutes. Performance has some rollers with a resistance module at a decent price. It's a guaranteed result, instead of a maybe.
