Getting in the swing of things

Just so everyone knows, I'm still a noob to everything.

As of late, I've been trying to get in to better shape for my health. I took up cycling and love it. I was riding my Trek 950 for a while, but it was difficult because I was riding on roads with a mountain bike. Last week I picked up a 2007 Specialized Langster and have been riding a lot. The fixed gear is really helping me pick up pace and it's working my legs out a lot. I picked up some riding shorts, a helmet, lock, and a Specialized Speed Zone Comp. I put the computer on tonight and it's amazing. I can actually get information I've been looking for. I went on an awesome ride tonight for a total of 40 miles. I'm still working on getting in to shape, but I'm trying to average about 10-20 miles a day. It's hard because I work 20 miles away, and it's a retail job, so I can't show up sweaty. But I'm working hard to train better. I hope to stick around here and learn a lot!

Sweet man, keep it up and you'll be a stud in no time I've found that (for some reason) biking looses weight faster then anything else I've tried. And it's a blast, you get to the point where you're like "woah I'm looking pretty good and haven't even been worrying about it"..

I've found biking to be a lot easier and works better for me as well. I hate running, so this helps a lot. Especially with a fixed gear, I don't stop pedaling, so it really works my legs. I'm really glad I started riding
