Bike trainer question
So I found this trainer on my local craigslist for 25 bucks...
http://images.craigslist.org/3ma3oc3...9cea4917d9.jpg I can't really find any info about it or really all that much about trainers at all at least not enough to make the decision on my own. I do know that i've used the more common compact/folding type and thought it was a little unstable. I'm curious about the practical differences between this one and the aforementioned small ones. should i. Or should I not... |
What brand, type , model?
Nashbar usually has onoe of it's fluid trainers on sale. I don't like the other kinds, by and large. There is a discount this weekend, but the shipping will be about as much as the discount. http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...1_10000__11501 |
The listing says the brand is Peak Performance. The ad also says it has adjustable tension it's 25 bucks... I really just wanted to see if anyone had anything to say about this style vs. the more compact ones.

I use a folding one, it's not cheap. But it's stable. Either way it's more a questions of how well it's built.
That looks like it might be a magnetic. Wind trainers are too loud. I've never used a magnetic, they're rep is that they're not as nice as the fluid trainers. But for the money it's hard to go very wrong. |
Pass. Get a GOOD trainer. One of the best cycling investments you can make.
