Bike Trainer problem
I bought a Univega 4000 Magturbo trainer off craigslist for $40 because I've always wanted a trainer and for $40, it's a steal. Well, now that I have it, I've seem to encounter some problems and would appreciate it if someone could offer some solutions.
The trainer : https://i37.tinypic.com/2popsah.jpg
Quick release for the fork, then a support for the bottom bracket, and the magnetic resistance on the very end.
Problem 1: https://i36.tinypic.com/5z4a5g.jpg & https://i34.tinypic.com/ehxfub.jpg
The bottom bracket support is too small for my bottom bracket, in the second photo, you can see how it's not really holding onto the bottom bracket. Also the metal bar is too short so I can't really make it any higher if I wanted to.
Problem 2: https://i37.tinypic.com/ab1riv.jpg
Now BECAUSE of problem 1, sometimes while pedaling, the back wheel would slide into the stationary white parts and that's not where the rolling magic happens. Thus it screws up my back tire and I would have to get off to re-adjust the the tire to be in the middle again. You can see some black marks on the white part from my tire. Since the fork is locked in place, instead of turning the handles to turn, it's like I'm turning the frame which makes my back tire slide onto the unnecessary parts.
Any suggestions or advice? This is driving me insane!
Thanks

In the pics it appears there are 4 allen head bolts holding the top part of the bottom bracket support on I would remove those bolts and stack some washers in there to add extra height so the support would contact the bottom bracket. You may need longer bolts.
