    Calculating one's LSD?

    Hi gang,

I forget-- is it best to calculate one's LSD as a percentage of their average daily rides? If not, how does one estimate a good LSD?

    Thanks,

I would estimate you've got some good LSD when inanimate objects grow human faces and you start conversing with them. "What's that lamp? You say you know who killed JFK? But the secret is burrowed inside my skull? I'll get the drill."

Ok, so......... how do YOU calculate your long steady distance rides, everyone? Do you base it as a factor over your normal amount of time on a daily ride, a percentage over your daily ride's mileage, a ration of your combined weekly miles.....?

I do LSD (long, slow distance) in late Winter/early Spring and then move on to speedwork. I don't do LSD but maybe 2-3 months out of the year.

When I do LSD it's just max distance for what I'm comfortable with, be it 50, 60 or 100 miles.
