Favorite Smoothie Recipe?

This one is great! Everyone in my family loves it. Got it from the Dr Oz show:

1 banana
Bananas are high in antioxidants, dopamine and serotonin. Dopamine boosts memory and attention while serotonin elevates mood and helps control appetite, memory and learning.

¼ cup blueberries
Blueberries contain pigments called anthocyanins that give the fruit its dark color and also boost brain function. They also help protect the brain from stress and may reduce dementia.

A handful of hemp nuts
These nuts are rich in Omega-3’s which are essential for the health of your brain and nervous system. Additionally, the compounds found in hemp seeds have been shown to promote memory, learning and immune function.

½ cup apple juice
Apple juice prevents the loss of an important neurotransmitter called acetylcholine which is critical for memory and brain health.

1 tsp rhodiola rosea
This liquid plant extract improves mood, alleviates depression and can also improve sexual functioning and libido. It’s available for purchase in natural food stores.

A banana, handful of frozen blackberries, 1/2 cup black cherry juice, 1/2 cup goat kefir, a scoop of TriFX ( http://proteinfactory.com/shop/produ...5&cat=1&page=3 ) a tsp of hemp oil.

With it I take a New Chapter one a day, a fish oil cap and a glucosamine.

Banana (frozen if possible), strawberries and/or blueberries (fresh or frozen), kiwi if I have it, unflavored yogurt, peanut butter, whey isolate, old fashioned oats (or Fiber One or Total or whatever), skim milk, maybe orange juice if I have it, and some ice cubes. I don't measure anything, just toss in however much looks good. Needs a spoon because it usually ends up pretty much as thick as a Wendy's Frosty. I used to put in flaxseed too, but it always would sink to the bottom and I'd be left with ground flaxseed at the bottom.

Wow, someone else who uses hemp seeds in their smoothy? They are awesome. Banana, 1/4-1/2 cup yogurt, scoop 100% Whey, 1/4-1/2 cup milk.

One banana, one mango, one papaya, two kiwi, 1/2 pineapple, non-fat yogurt, frozen cranberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherry juice (100%), frozen mixed fruit, vanilla extract. I can get the mango, papaya, and banana from the garden but they are not always in season. Sometimes I throw in fresh coconut juice. I've got this huge blender with a 3 hp engine.

Apple, Kiwi, Pinapple, Hemp seeds, Mini Cucumber, Broccoli, Kale, almond milk, ice

The kale gets rotated through kale, spinach, collard greens, chard
The fruit rotates around some too, pinaple gets replaced with pear, etc.

Its been my breakfast for months and has been great. I made a thread on here about green smoothies with photos a while back.

I can't say I have a favorite anymore. Its been a few years since I started smoothies. First, I bought them at the store, in those little plastic bottles. Then I got to try to make them myself. That must have been in the late 1970's. Smoothies, or anything else, just depends on what you're trying to do...your objective. Its just another food type, really.

I remember the first Rocky movie, you know...Rocky Balboa. He had that breakfast that included a raw egg mixed with other stuff. I don't know if that qualifies as a smoothie, but heck, Stallone is pretty fit today.
