Why do i need a nap after a 100km ride

Just often back when i do rides of 3 hours+ of 100km

I need to lie down a while after eating when i get home?

Am I eating something wrong? i am good shape now?

Embrace the nap. It's good for you. Just don't sleep for more than 10-20 min.

I also nap. More like 30 minutes. I think what happens is that after your recovery meal your blood sugar goes to hell for a bit. Napping seems to help it come back up. It's the right thing to do. Many pros do it right after a stage. Recovery drink, nap sitting up even.

Yeah, I totally feel you there. Whenever I go out on a good ride, my body expresses it's infatuation with my bed rather loudly. Great for coming home at night after work on late nights though. Instead of setting my alarm like I do on leisure rides, I sleep straight through the night, and it's some of the best sleep I get
