City training
I live in Montreal, at the center of the city. It's hard to find a one mile stretch of road without a stop sign or a light. In fact I haven't found a good place to ride hard without being bothered by signs, slower cyclists or traffic.
So until I find that safe haven on the island, or in case there's none, do you have any recommendations on training in a city? Any tips or tricks?

Depending on the infrastructure and route you can try intervals. I try to keep up with traffic as long as possible. Usually this will be on a generally flat route that is only controlled by signals.
