What is it you think you are cleaning? I love it when I hear people talk about "their body" as if it is a bucket that collects chit!!!

you could take in too many vitamins (depending on what juice youre drinking) anything in excess is bad, even the good stuff. fats are necessary, protein etc. keep that in mind.

+1. The body isn't clean or dirty, it is what it is. Only from a human perspective things can be clean or dirty.

Perhaps you should talk this over with someone who knows more about nutrition than what they learned in an internet corresponding course. That sounds unhealthy and dangerous, and "cleaning your body" sets off BS alarms.

There are many essential nutrients your body requires. Without several of them will will get sick or die. A lot of them will not be found in juice.

There's a lot ot be said for fasting...but on juice...its full of sugar.

If you're gonna do something like that - I'd eat the whole fruit...at least you'll get some fibre while you're at it.

Soap and water do the trick when I'm dirty. 'Takes about 15 minutes if I go slow and have to really scrub.

After 30 seconds of google searching.

https://altmedicine.about.com/od/deto...ce_fasting.htm.

1-3 days is typical. Of course that site could be BS.

If you do it, don't do it for more than a few days. It's been shown that when you restrict calories and protein intake, you will also lose muscle mass.

IMHO, it would be better to eat healthy all the time and get enough exercise. There are no quick fixes.

This will get the job done in a couple of hours. No need to take an entire month.

You might want to look at Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. After watching it, it does seem that there can be benefits for juicing, but it didn't convince me enough to actually try it.

You want to get completely cleaned out? Prep for a colonoscopy. What proof you're cleaned out? Get the colonoscopy.

It's a total myth that crap backs up and collects in your colon. Ask any procotologist who's looked up countless butts.

My wife and I did watch "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead". It's a powerful movie for sure. We went about our juicing plan differently than what's laid out in the movie. We juice in the morning. Each juice is 16 ounces of 80% vegetable and 20% fruit juice along with a nice piece of ginger to add some spice to the mix. We eat a low carb diet and we RIDE. I've lost over 50lbs and I feel AWESOME!! Our diets are more vegetarian these days. I still love meat but I cut way back on it. Some days we might have up to 3 juices. It all depends on how busy we are. Another key change was a large reduction in out daily calorie intake. We're both down to about 1200 calories each per day.

This is the best I've felt in many years. I'm 52 years old and my health has improved vastly!

I'm not a big fan of a total juicing diet for any extended period of time. Instead we altered our diet to something we think is healthier. Eating whole foods that aren't processed. Stop buying food in a box. Make it all yourself from scratch. Eat farm fresh. Eat organic. Stop shopping at the big box grocery stores such as Walmart and Safeway. And eat regularly throughout the day. Smaller portions more often.

All of the above is how this fat boy is now able to keep up at the shop rides!!

Juicing is truly amazing! A fresh made juice gets immediately absorbed into your system! You can actually feel it!! Trust me it freaked me out the first time! Now I LOVE THAT FEELING!!

Here is our favorite juicing recipe:

Mean Green

1 Bulk of kale - Kale is a super food in that it is unusually loaded with nutrients.

4 Stalks of celery

1 Cucumber

2 granny smith apples

½ lemon

Ginger root (thumb sized)

There would be too many ambulances blocking your path as they picked the sick and dying off the road.
