food for nerves

Orthopedist recommended I avoid neurotoxins while waiting for my damaged shoulder nerves to regrow after an accident. Probably a good policy at other times too.

Is there stuff I can eat that's good for nerve growth? Omega-3 fatty acids seem like something people talk about and I do try to eat a bunch of salmon anyway.
