For those not satisfied with the Monsterthick burger at Hardee's...

I saw this in an article about southern diets. The most disgusting thing I've ever heard of, so I thought I'd share:

"When Becky Cleaveland is out with her girlfriends, they all pick at salads except for the petite Atlanta woman. She tackles "The Hamdog." The dish, a specialty of Mulligan's, a suburban bar, is a hot dog wrapped by a beef patty that's deep fried, covered with chili, cheese and onions, and served on a hoagie bun. Oh yeah, it's also topped with a fried egg and two fistfuls of fries."

Here's a link to the whole article for those interested:

I couldn't help but add this quote from later in the article, about another dish at the same restaurant:

""Luther Burger," a bacon-cheeseburger served on a Krispy Kreme doughnut bun"

At least southerners weren't the ones to have thought up deep-fried candy bars. I think that was invented in England. Have you ever been by a place where they're fried? The smell is nas-tee.

at the state fair in north carolina this past october, I had the opportunity to have a few deep fried things--a fried oreo, a fried snickers, a fried moon pie and a fried twinkie. they were all pretty gross except for the twinky...I thought the twinky was pretty decent...
