    Hamstring injury ??

A few days ago (Thursday) I was doing a yard project (pavers) and was up and down and bent over all day. The next day my hamstrings hurt like hell.

Saturday we had a 60 mile group ride, stretched pre ride but about 10 miles in felt like I had already done 50. Finished the 60

Monday hams still a little sore and have a 100 mile hill ride coming up on Saturday.

Question, stay off the bike for a couple more days, or stretch and go on a easy ride today.

    I want to ride!

    Thanks

Work 'em IMO. That's my recipe for pretty much everything. More work is usually better. Try prone snow angels: Lie on your stomach with hands at your side, feet together. Lift both your legs and upper torso off the floor, like you're trying to touch your butt with your head. Your feet should be up about 6", legs almost straight. Now sweep out a snow angel with your hands almost touching above your head and legs as far apart as is comfortable. Return to starting position. 2 sets of 12. Stretch your hams and glutes after. Then go for an easy ride. Concentrate on working and loosening your hams.

The above is a core exercise. Core work is a lot more than abs. It involves most of the muscles in your body. You just did a little too much core work all at once. I'd keep working on it.

Hamstrings are extra sensitive. Stress them, and then stress them again before they recover and you will end up with an injury. Give them as much rest as they need and then do the above, regular Romanian deadlifts and more aggressive stretching.

I'd go on a short ride today just to keep moving.
Take an epsom salt bath. Eat big, and get some rest.

It's not injury. You are just not fully recovered.

The next day my hamstrings hurt like hell.
    This is DOMS. Absolutely normal.

about 10 miles in felt like I had already done 50.
    Underrecovered.

Monday hams still a little sore
    Underrecovered.
