You don't need to do that many bricks.
And your runs don't need to be that long after bike.
The most bricks you need to do is probably once every 10 or 15 days.

I wouldn't do it once a week, but I would however do it once before the event...probably no sooner to the event then 10 days before. Just to build your confidence. Nice to know that event day you won't be faced with anything you haven't done before. I always said, I can swim, bike, and run (if you can call what I do running!). Putting them together is a different story. Nevertheless, I've done four (sprint) so far and have improved each time. BTW...I'm no skinny minnie, so don't worry about that at all!!

I hate swimming so I do a mock du race twice a week 5k/14m/5k I like working through the pain from bike to run and after a while it gets easy. thetrainningbible.com also has lots of workout plans
