Dewey Beach, DE Sprint Tri...a Duatholon?

Looks like Hurricane Ophelia is likely going to to turn my sprint Tri this weekend into a duatholon, with a 1-mile beach run to start it off. Great, all I need is another mile to run...and on the beach no less. The final call will be made the morning of the race. Any tips for sand running? (hasn't been in my training regimen...). Anyone else had a tri turned into a duatholon?
Thanks,
A

Be careful and don't push too hard. You can pull a calf muscle because it takes much greater force to push off. Your calves will be sore and tight the next day if you aren't use to it.
