Race Report - Azalea Festival NC
Just finished my first ever sprint tri in Wilmington NC. Set-up events ran a really good race. I was incredibly impressed by the elite athletes. Just awesome.
My impression was that this is painful! And fun! Wish I'd tried this before I passed 45 years old.
Glorious weather, sunny and 75 degrees. Pool swim was pretty much chaos by the time the novices (me) hit the pool. Bike ride was the best part. Had cramps in both calves as soon as I dismounted the bike but managed to run through them. Finished 1 minute over my optimistic target.
Try again in 4 weeks!

Hey! Congrats!
Are you doing the White Lake sprint in May?
I signed up and have been training hard but I'm skeered.
