Need bike advice

Hi,

I sold my QR 53cm Tequilo 650c and am looking for another TT bike, I don't really want Aluminum. So far the choices are:

new 07 Kuota K force $2099 Shimano 105 10sp Fulcrum
new 06 Scott Plasma Team $2095 105 10sp Mavic Equipe
used 06 Serotta CXII Frameset, carbon bars $1275
new 05 Litespeed Tachyon 105 9sp FSA rd80 $1849

I am open to ANY suggestions, I am looking at size small

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff

Check out Pedal Force group buy https://pedalforce.com/online/product...oducts_id=4998

I bought an RS from Pedal Force and could not be happier. It allowed me to buy good frame with great components. If 30 people sign up the price for the frame is $500. Then you can add top of line components from Pedal Force at great prices

Good luck

My vote is for the Litespeed! I picked up an '05 Tachyon last November. I just got it put together this week and love it.

That is the bike I prefer, I just have a hard time spending that much on an 05 with 9sp 105 components. Any idea what yours weighs?

Thanks,
Jeff

I got it for a great deal on Ebay. I'm not sure how much it weighs. I'll get on the scale with it tonight and let you know.

Sorry for the extended delay. I weighed my Tachyon (59 cm) last night - it's 20 lbs exactly with Look Keo Sprint pedals. All else is stock.

I won a race this year on a frame similar to the Tachyon(except made of steel instead of Ti) and 9 speed 105/ultegra. Must be okay stuff?

The Kforce and plasma have wayyyyy different geometry than what you are on now. I don't know how the Tequilo fits but how it did fit would be indicative of your choice. If you had a whole slew of spacers and the seat ind of far back, the K Factor would be a good choice. If you had the seat ind of far back but with just a little bit of spacers or none, then the Plasma is probably a good choice.

The Tachyon is probably the most similar in Seat Angle and head tube length to what you're currently riding.

Can't comment on the Serotta
